Michigan Donated Dental Services
A program of the Michigan Dental Association, the Michigan Donated Dental Services (DDS) program has provided more than $23.3 million in free comprehensive dental treatment since 1995. Since that time, volunteer dentists have dedicated their talents to providing care to more than 6,500 of Michigan’s most vulnerable citizens since 1995. Donations from volunteer dental laboratories also helps the program provide once-in-a-lifetime desperately needed care to elderly, permanently disabled or medically fragile patients who are low income and have no other means of getting the dental treatment they need.
Through a generous annual grant from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the donation of services from dentists and dental laboratories, the Michigan Donated Dental Services (DDS) program is able to donate more than $1 million in care each year. The program is a licensee of Dental Lifeline Network. Services provided include extractions, oral surgery, and dentures.
